We're ready for you!
Via the services offered on the website of BIR Reclame Adviesbureau B.V. (CoC in Enschede: 06047646), hereinafter referred to as BIR, personal data are processed. For BIR, careful handling of the private and personal data of customers is very important. Personal data are carefully processed and secured. We adhere to the requirements of the privacy legislation. In this statement we explain which personal data we collect and use and for which purpose we do this.
We reserve the right to make changes to this statement. Changes are made on this page. We advise you to consult this statement regularly so that you are aware of these changes. The most recent change dates from May 15, 2023.
By using our website, you leave data behind. This may be personal data. We only keep and use the personal data in which it is clear that they are provided to BIR for processing. The data is deleted when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which we collect it. Information we collect from website visitors: name, company name, telephone number or mobile number, e-mail address, agreement (opt-in) for newsletter, surfing behavior, IP address and browser data sent to us. Information that we collect from customers: function, postal and / or delivery address, website, invoice and payment details, services, and correspondence. We also collect bank details from creditors (suppliers) (bank account number and ascription). This information is only available to BIR employees who need it for their duties. As a customer you are responsible for keeping your data up-to-date. You can change your details by mail or e-mail.
The information we receive may be processed by us to perform the service (s) offered. BIR also uses this information to inform you about services, news and articles, to be able to help with support questions, and to analyze and improve the website and services. BIR tries to take your preferences into account, we also ask your permission where this is necessary.
BIR will never sell or share your data to third parties. We can, however, be compelled by authorities to provide this information on the basis of a legal claim. If you purchase a service or product from BIR, it may be necessary for this data to be passed on to a partner of BIR, for example your address details to a print shop for the direct delivery of (printed) material, ownership data to a domain register for a domain name, contact details to a provider for web applications or (email) marketing applications. In these cases, these partners are not entitled to use this data for any other purpose.
BIR uses cookies to analyze the use on the website www.bir.nl, so that we (BIR) can improve or adjust the navigation, information or functions. A cookie is a small file that is sent along with a page from our website and stored by your browser on your computer. This allows us to combine the retrieval of pages and analyze the behavior of website users. We use Google Analytics to analyze the behavior.
We have made agreements with Google about the use of cookies. The information that Google collects is anonymised as much as possible. Your full IP address will not be provided. However, we do not have complete control over what Google does with the cookies. For more information about Google and how it handles your data, see the privacy statement of Google. You can refuse the use of these cookies. However, refusing cookies may limit the functionality and ease of use of the website.
The BIR server keeps log files. BIR uses this data for tracing and solving problems, preventing and identifying misuse, and as an indication of the network capacity used. The log files store your IP address, the visited page and your browser data that you send. This data is automatically deleted after one month and only available to an employee of BIR and the (Dutch) service provider of the web server. The log files contain no data that you enter on forms.
On our website we have activated a firewall that prevents known and unknown leaks in the software from causing damage, and that prevents unauthorized access to be obtained by trying multiple log-in combinations. This firewall registers your IP address and the request you make, with this information being kept for one day. In case of abuse, this information can give a temporary block on your IP address. We also have the option of manually converting this temporary blockage into a permanent block, while maintaining the IP address for as long as we deem necessary. In case of frequent misuse, your IP address is transferred to a temporary blacklist, so you may not be able to visit other websites with the same firewall.
If you receive emails from us, we will record your interactions, with the aim to adjust the content of our communication with what we think is relevant to you. If you do not like our (automated) emails, you can unsubscribe. Your data will then be deleted and only your e-mail address will be on a separate unsubscription list. This list ensures that you do not receive any new email from us in the future. You retain the right to be completely removed, please contact us.
You are furthermore always free to file a complaint with the regulator. The regulator of the privacy legislation is the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Authoriteit Persoonsgegevens). You can find the contact details of the Dutch Data Protection Authority via the website www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
You have the following privacy rights:
You have the right to information and access the personal data that we process from you.
You have the right to change or even delete your data if the data is incorrect, or if the processing is not justified. Do you feel that we have wrong information about you? Let us know then we will adjust it.
You have the right to ask us to delete the personal data that we have from you. We may not be able to completely delete your personal data, because we still have to process some data for other purposes. For example administration or other legal obligations.
If you feel that we are processing your personal data incorrectly or incorrectly, you can also have this processing limited.
The right of objection means that you can object to certain processing of personal data. You have this right for all processing that is not based on (1) your explicit consent, (2) its necessity with regard to the execution of an agreement with you (3) compliance with legal obligations or (4) the protection of vital interests of yourself or others. If you object to the use of your personal data to inform you about our activities and similar (“direct marketing”) processing, we always honor this. You can prevent further receipt of (marketing) e-mails from BIR by clicking on the unsubscribe link in every e-mail you receive from us. Your data will then no longer be used for direct marketing purposes. If you object to other forms of processing your personal data, we will assess whether we can meet your objection. In that case, it is up to us to show that, despite your objection, we still have a legitimate interest in continuing to process the personal data. If that weighing of interests is to your advantage, we will stop processing your data.
You have the right to receive (back) the personal data you have provided to us in a standard file format. This right only applies to the personal data that we process from you on the basis of your consent or an agreement concluded with you. The law also applies only to the data that we already process in digital form (not for analogue processing). You are then free to pass on this information to another party.
The exercise of these rights is free of charge for you, barring abuse. You exercise the rights by contacting us. We will answer your request within a month. We can ask you for further proof of your identity with all questions / requests. We do this to prevent us from providing personal data to the wrong party or making incorrect changes to the personal data or the way in which these personal data are processed by us. To ensure that your request is handled as smoothly as possible, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity in a secure manner in advance. There may be circumstances that make us unable to respond to a particular request. We will always assess each request on its own merits. If we are unable to respond to a particular request, we will of course provide you with justification. In that case, you can then possibly take this to court. The right of objection against the use of data for direct marketing purposes is absolute. Cancellations for our commercial communications are therefore honored in any event.
